My name is Laurie Powers and I have been practicing traditional medicine for 30+ decades. While I have worked in a number of different disciplines, my passion has always been preventative medicine. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s become clearer than ever that the best way to fight disease is to prevent it in the first place.
My gift is to teach people how to maximize their health through lifestyle changes. I train my patients to get optimal sleep (using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia for adults or therapy for Behavioral Insomnia for children). I teach my families to eat in a way that both prevents and treats disease (via Culinary Medicine). I obtain a BioPhotonic scan of my patient's hand as a vital sign - this reflects their antioxidant status which is a window into their health. I also offer labs and sleep studies when applicable. I coordinate care with other providers when needed to assist in weaning off chronic medications.
I offer the personal, one-on-one, top quality care that you deserve. There is no quick fix or magic pill to obtain true wellness. I will, however, walk you through your health journey every step of the way. You can schedule an in-office or telehealth appointment with me through this portal. I even offer free 10 minute appointments for new patients to answer any questions they may have. I see ages 2 years old and up. I do take a variety of insurance plans.
I look forward to working with you!
